LOCATION: Site based in Malton, North Yorskhire
JOB TITLE: Senior Operative - Construction
SALARY & BENEFITS : £8.98 Per Hour - Contract Vacancy for 33 weeks starting Jan 2013
WORKING HOURS: 39 Hours Per Week - Mon Thurs 8.00am - 4.30pm, Friday 8.00am - 3.00pm
THE ROLE: Senior Operative - Construction
The role will be to support the Site Manager in performing daily tasks such as, Coordinating Sub-Contractors, Checking Materials onto Site, operating Plant Equipment and adhering to Health & Safety Policies.
The Contract is related to a project with a prestige local authority build Key Responsibilities: Support the Site Manager in co-ordinating trades, direct labour and materials to meet the production programme. Operate plant machinery such as Telehandlers / Cherry Pickers, Forklift Trucks, other Plant equipment Support the Site Manager in ensuring that the on-site construction team is fully resourced and well directed, with clear guidelines to their own job responsibilities and are provided with full support in achieving these. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety at Work or other relevant legislation. Be the key support function to the Site Manager on a daily basis

THE CANDIDATE: We are looking for an Construction Operative who more than likely will hold approx 5 years + experience in working a similar role.
Key Experience Essential for the role:- Experience of working within established build programmes. Assertive to ensure delivery of targets by on site team and trades/labour. Ability to prioritise to meet changing business needs. Knowledge of local Construction practices. Qualified and experience in following Plant Operations - Forklift, Telehandlers Hold a Valid CSCS card
