Senior Construction Manager

DO YOU RELISH THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITHIN ONE OF THE LARGEST BIOPHARMACEUTICAL PROJECTS IN EUROPE? IF YES, THEN THIS IS THE ASSIGNMENT FOR YOU!
Our Biopharmaceutical client based in Switzerland is currently investing significantly in their manufacturing program. The new construction will create more than 300 jobs and trigger investments of around 1 billion Swiss francs over a period of 6 years.
THE CLIENT IS CURRENTLY SEEKING THE EXPERTISE OF A SENIOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGER. YOU WILL BE THe single point of contact between the Client, Construction Managers and Contractors.
Other duties will include:
- Support and reinforce the construction safety program
- Represents the client at construction meetings
- Ensures that the Construction Managers/Contractors have established, maintained and utilise a set of appropriate systems and procedures to drive safe and efficient construction, maximizing efficiency and minimizing waste
- Support Construction Managers in the resolution of issues and disputes in the field
- Represent the client in system walkdowns, punchlisting and turnover processes ensuring that the expected quality is delivered by construction, supported by adequate GDP documentation
- Report back to the client on the status of construction and escalate issues to Facility Project Management
- Proactively discuss and coordinate construction matters between disciplines
Experience required:
- Education as Civil Engineer, Degree level preferred
- 15 to 20 years construction/construction management is industrial project.
- Experience within the Biopharma and Pharma industries and an understanding of GxP/GDP/GEP
