Senior Construction Field Controls Lead IV

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a CONSTRUCTION FIELD CONTROLS LEAD IV to join our client in Allentown, PA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

- This contract position is for the duration of approximately eight (8) months.
- Pay Range: Up to $50.96 per hour.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The (FCL) is responsible for developing and implementing cost and scheduling systems for home office engineering and design and field construction. This includes managing and coordinating contracted engineering and design and major construction against agreed benchmarks in cost management, schedule analysis, variance management, invoicing, reporting and other control functions for the field construction.
- The FCL will be located full time in the home office (Allentown PA).
- The FCL will report to the Global Project Controls Manager.
- The FCL will conduct the project cost and scheduling controls by monitoring, measuring, controlling and predicting the project cost and progress. The successful candidate for this role will implement this function on large projects and work with Contractors? project controls staff and other functional specialists, as required. The FCL function plays a key project team integration role and is expected to be knowledgeable across all functional areas of the project.
- They will be responsible for identifying any deviations from the agreed scope, assessing their impact on project cost and risk, and ensuring remedial action.
- Work on projects in home office and the field while contributing to functional aspects of overall Project Controls.
- Develop and implement project control/services execution strategies.
- Ensure computerized systems for cost control analysis are in place and utilized as intended for the work.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of 10 years of major project cost engineering experience with assignments of increasing responsibility, complexity and scope.
- Demonstrated technical competency in the field of project controls.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project and Primavera planning and scheduling tools a must.
- Very good oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrable interpersonal, teambuilding and team leadership skills.
- Construction field experience and willingness to travel.
- Working knowledge of all relevant engineering & construction codes and standards.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- Experience with SAP is a plus.
