SENIOR COMPLIANCE ADVICE CONSULTANT - STRENGTHENING INDIVIDUAL ACCOUNTABILITY

A Senior Compliance Advice Consultant contractor required to work on a 6 month contract interpreting and implementing the regulators new Strengthening Individual Accountability Regime.

OVERVIEW OF THE SENIOR COMPLIANCE ADVICE CONSULTANT CONTRACT ROLE

- Working alongside others in the team, including a Head of Compliance Advice, you will become a subject matter expert on the new Strengthening Individual Accountability Regime.
- Working as part of the compliance advice programme team you will advise the programme on how the regulatory standards apply to them to assist with the successful implementation of the regime across the business.
- We are looking for an individual with industry knowledge, the ability to identify and respond to complex emerging issues and motivate others to work together to provide the business with focused solutions, whilst maintaining our reputation with the regulators.
- You'll develop regulatory expertise within the division, and across the wider Group to ensure our compliance culture is Embedded

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE COMPLIANCE ADVICE CONSULTANT

- Have experience of advising senior colleagues on compliance issues within your current or recent previous role. You will have a good working knowledge of compliance methodology.
- Be experienced in engaging and challenging business areas on their compliance issues. You can manage relationships with colleagues in a clear and structured way, keeping people up to date with work progress.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to learn new information quickly and to seek further guidance when required.
- Become a subject matter expert in the regulators' new Strengthening Individual Accountability Regime.
- A thirst for knowledge will mean you are always looking to learn more about your business area/s and the regulations impacting it.
- Be agile in your approach to change and review solutions to deliver a competitive edge. You'll always think about our customers - they're everything to us - and make sure our business has an ethical approach that makes sure we treat them fairly.
- Ideally your background will be financial services compliance and you'll have an industry recognised compliance qualification giving you the ability to develop new knowledge quickly.

The role is based in Swindon, Wiltshire this is commutable from London, Northampton and Oxfordshire
