We have a fantastic interim opportunity for a commercially astute Senior Communications Strategy Executive to join our team for a 12 month contract. With a well-balanced mix of marketing strategy and planning experience as well as a background of working on large scale campaigns through different channels, you will be a highly valued member of the CRM Planning team.

About the role

Based from our Hove office, you will report to the Communications Strategy Manager and be involved in converting the overall objectives of the department - retaining customers, growing their value - into concrete, actionable plans i.e. which customers are to be targeted with what products and messages, by which medium. These plans take the form of briefs written for the communications team, who are responsible for the creative execution. You will be responsible for writing high-quality campaign briefs, clearly setting out the objectives, tone, content and targeting of the relevant campaign, so that the Communications team has an excellent basis on which to develop appropriate creative material and to source targeting data. In addition to this you will work In conjunction with the Communications team, undertake reviews of specific campaigns, so that lessons learned are embedded into future activity, as well as test new ideas (creative, format, messaging, proposition, segmentation and targeting), so that the business continually seeks out better ways to achieve the objectives and builds a reputation for innovation.

About you

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working in a Marketing function either in house or in an agency with a proven track record of having implemented strategies to retain and add value to customers in a mass market. You will also have experience of using customer segmentation models to deliver targeted communications and experience to deliver retention and upgrade targets, as well as strong interpersonal skills, including communicating, negotiation and influencing plus experience of delivering results through others and developing strong networks across the business.
