Senior Commercial Officer

My Client is a Major Government Defence Body seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to lead a team and provide commercial advice and support to a range of key projects.

This role will require candidates to obtain SC clearance, so please bear in mind that this is an urgent requirement when applying.

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in similar roles within a defence or aerospace environment.

Senior Commercial Officer will
-take responsibility for ensuring that the Delivery Team's contractual interests and value for money objectives are secured at all times
-provides commercial advice and guidance to the DT programme Managers in relation to all projects in the delivery Team, but with particular emphasis on the Rapid Acquisition Programme and 3Model Block Programmes
-provide Lead Commercial support to numerous CAT C and D Projects

Other key activities include:
-LM of two C1s - Planning and management of commercial workload.
- Focal point within Delivery Team for CBRN DT issues. All advice to be compliant with current Legislation and Corporate Policy;
-Liaison with Subject matter experts as required such as IPR, Legal, Partnering and CAAS representatives
-The post holder will also partake in all other required commercial activities such as: - performance management of commercial arrangements - pricing activity and negotiation
