Senior Commercial Manager

Senior Commercial Manager required for a leading global defence company based in Hurn/Bournemouth area. The candidate will be required to provide commercial support and leadership to across the Division and interface with internal and external agencies/organisations.

KEY TASKS:

- Develop and shape commercial deals providing thought leadership within the team.
- Provide commercial leadership or guidance as appropriate in negotiating, implementing and managing of agreements with customers or partners
- Lead on the negotiations of potentially complex deals with new customers
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and potential customers
- Operate in accordance with the Group's corporate governance policies, processes and procedures including those relating to Health and Safety
- Potentially transition to provide Commercial management of high value contracts subsequent to a successful bid.
- Management of commercial procedures
- Overseeing the implementation of commercial agreements
- Evaluation of financial and operational changes
- Risk assessment of commercial viability of contracts

PERSON SPECIFICATION

KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Degree level or equivalent experience
- Typically has 10+years experience in a commercial role
- Typically 2-3 years line management experience
- Resource planning skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex demands
- Experience of MoD processes and dealing with Government customers
- Experience of Partnering and Alliancing between Government/Agencies/Private industry
- Commercial background in multi disciplinary environments covering the contract life cycle
