Summary:
- Responsible for the design, development and testing of operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for computing applications.
Education/Experience:
- 5 to 7 years COGNOS Framework and Reporting experience required.
- Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required.
Skills and Competencies:
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
- Knowledge of the full software development life cycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery. Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues.
- Competent in modifying and maintaining COGNOS frameworks and reports through framework manager and the various reporting studios. COGNOS 10+ experience highly desired.
- Competent in the creation and modification of stored procedures and complex querying using SQL through SQL Server.
- Experience with IBM OpenPages highly desired.
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Modify existing COGNOS frameworks and reports.
- Work as part of a project team to coordinate all things COGNOS related and determine scope and limitations.
- Review reporting and framework requests describing user needs to estimate time required to accomplish deliverables.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
