Senior Cloud Systems Engineer Job

SR CLOUD SYSTEMS ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in RESTON, VA.

Possession of or ability to obtain a Security Clearance is required as a condition for employment.

- Systems Administration
- SPF, DKIM, DMARC and Security compliance.
- TCP/IP, SMTP, IMAP, DNS and other common Internet protocols

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Linux System Administration support with expert knowledge in TCP/IP, SMTP, IMAP, DNS and other common Internet protocols
- Experience with designing scalable email solutions and troubleshooting mail issues with DNS, FBL, SPF, DKIM, DMARC
- Configuring, tuning, monitoring, and conducting capacity analysis for various solutions (postfix, Sendmail, ironport, barracuda)
- Keep abreast of industry developments in relation to email formatting, content, delivery and reputation
- Responsible for creating and managing strong relationships (contacts, knowledge) with deliverability partners such as ISP's and third-party technology providers ( RBLs, anti-spam providers, lobbies and deliverability solution providers. )
- Report on mail deliverability and inbox penetration rates
- Researching, developing, and implementing new tools and processes to improve and automate Operational Support
- Maintaining OS system security standards, host and client access, and automating required audits
- Acting in a technical leadership capacity to drive challenging projects across different organizational departments
- Creation of run-books and troubleshooting guides
- Provide level 3 support to internal and external customers

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Minimum five (5) years experience in System Administration experience in a large scale Email environment.
- Experience email related technologies such as SPF, DKIM, DMARC and Security compliance.
- Expert knowledge in TCP/IP, SMTP, IMAP, DNS and other common Internet protocols
- Strong problem solving skills across the different Infrastructure layers
- Works effectively with a minimal amount of direction
- Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness and ability to handle oncall escalations
