SENIOR CIVIL DESIGNER - AUTOCAD/TEKLA - ROTTERDAM, NETHERLANDSS

My Client is a large EPC contractor based in The Netherlands looking for a Dutch speaking Senior Civil Designer. The consultant will be in charge of a team of civil and structural designers and engineers. Projects consists of onshore Multidisciplinary projects in the petrochemical revamp field. Close contact with other disciplines as Piping, Mechanical, E&I and Process.

Duration: 6-month contract

Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands

Role: Senior Civil Designer

Start: ASAP

Duties:

- Preparing drawing (mainly concrete, steel, roads and infrastructures)
- Co-ordination of the design to ensure good interface with all other disciplines.
- Supervising and coaching the Civil and Structural project team(s),
- Prepare engineering drawings using CAD
- Review project documents prior to issue for scope and presentation against project standards and specifications
- Attend meetings (internal and with clients),
- Attend site visits

Experience:

- 10 + years' experience in Civil Designer
- Bachelor's degree in Civil design (Or similar)
- Experience within Oil & Gas - Petro-chemical industry
- Must have experience with, AutoCAD and Tekla.
- Sound understanding of international design codes
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and previous experience with presentations
- To clients and colleagues
- Must be fluent Dutch speaker (command of English both written and spoken)
- Experience in concrete and steel
- Extensive design and analysis experience of onshore structures
