Senior Cisco and Internetworking Consultant

SENIOR CISCO AND INTERNETWORKING CONSULTANT with strong CISCO skills and experience required for a major Afghan telecoms company, working as part of a large management consultancy team. IT consultant who has expert level knowledge and skills in Network Design, Interfacing with and supporting Service Providers, Security, Routing and Switching.

RESPONSABILITIES:

- Review and Assess Existing IT Network Architecture & Design
- Review and Assess Existing IT Network Processes & Procedures
- Recommend Changes, and Support the Implementation of Recommended Changes
- Support the Planning Efforts for a new Network Operations Centre
- Provide On-The-Job Training to existing IT Staff
- Audit and assess overall network design and recommend and implement changes based on experience and industry best practices
- Bandwidth management (managing bandwidth that is coming in from Internet till client's edge)
- Design and implement MPLS network
- Make security recommendations

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must have in-depth experience of Cisco Switches, Routers, with skills in network architecture & topology, operating systems, configurations, subnets, security, able to audit existing systems, and then recommend and implement changes and improvements to topology/architecture/configurations etc to optimize performance.
- Minimum 12 years experience in:
- Management and configuration of various security technologies
- Network and Security Architectures, creating complex and secure multi-use, multi-protocol networks.

START DATE: Immediate

TERM: Assignment duration will be 3 months with the possibility to be extended

LOCATION: based in Kabul, Afghanistan
