Senior Category Manager

My client are an international electricity and gas company who are looking for a Senior Category Manager on an initial 12 month contract, based in their Warwick office.

The role of this position is to manage all procurement activities for a given category from 'Source to Award.' The Senior Category Manager (UK) is responsible for the total spend of a category across the UK. The role will lead a team of procurement professionals and serve as the primary interface with the line of business.

Required procurement capabilities will include:
* Expertise in category management and strategic sourcing
* Strong knowledge of the strategic sourcing process
* Highly effective management of suppliers
* Strong negotiation skills
* Proficient in stakeholder management and communications
* Proficient in using analytical tools and techniques
