My client, a leading automotive manufacturer, based in Multiple Locations, is looking to recruit a Senior CAD Engineer for their Powertrain Division on a long term contract basis.

Position Description:
SVO Powertrain is a developing Department responsible for all SVO performance Powertrain systems. The role will include developing packaging studies for new hardware and doing design activity in line with company design rules. This role will require interaction with the APC Team, Designers, component engineers and module leaders. The role will be varied and allow the individual to help shape the future process that SVO Powertrain use to deliver its products. The person will need to be capable of understanding design requirements from across all Powertrain systems from PTSE, Base Engines and Transmission and Driveline.

Key Responsibilities
Develop Component Package, detailed 3D Design and possibly 2D detailing. Develop CAD Model to the standard required to support CAE analysis by the CAE Team.

Skills Required:
CATIA V5/Team Centre/Digibuck.
Familiarity with vehicle installation requirements & powertrain functionality would be useful.
Good Communication skills are essential to support a good working relationship with the Lead Engineers to allow the component package and design to be developed efficiently.

Education Required:
HNC in an Engineering discipline is required.

Additional Information:
The Team are based between Whitley and Gaydon and travel between these areas will be required.
