Senior C++ Developer (Unix, C++, Sybase, Support Skills)

For one of our clients in Ticino we are looking for a Senior C++ developer for a 6 months contract.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- You will be designing and implementing new server functionality
- You will develop code to implement business logic
- You will have around 20% 3rd level support tasks and 20% Swiss support, the rest is development
- You will be communicating with other teams in the UK and Asia
- You will participate in all aspects of the project life cycle

REQUIREMENTS:

- Very strong experience with C++, UNIX (Solaris) and a major RDBMS (relational database management system).
- Previous experience in support would be very beneficial
- Good experience with Shell Scripting and Perl
- Very strong in databases - SQL, experience with Sybase would be a plus
- Experience in a banking environment would be a plus
- We will consider only candidates based in Ticino or such who would be happy to relocate for the length of the project in order to provide support out of business hours
