EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITY: Sopra Steria Recruitment Ltd (a Sopra Steria company) provides recruitment and resourcing solutions to Sopra Steria, a leading European IT service provider.
Sopra Steria requires an Senior Buyer for an initial; 3 -4 months contract, supporting a project for one of our major public sector Client.
It is an urgent role due to the current demand this role is required to fulfil the Senior Procurement Specialist role with the client.
Senior Procurement Specialist will be providing purchasing support to both internal and external customers within the client advising in all aspects of procurement and needs to have legal acumen to review contract.
RESPONSIBILITY:
- Will be working with commercial and technical teams on product development and quality issues.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Requesting quotes from vendors
- Evaluation of new vendors
- Negotiating prices and terms.
- Software renewals
- Contract management skills
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Supplier relationship management skills to maximising value.
On client's instructions, due to the urgency, nature and length of the assignment, the successful candidate must have current security clearance to a high level.'
