Senior Buyer - IT

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an IT BUYER in Newtown Square, PA. This position is a long term, 12 month contract with SAP America.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Sr. Buyer - IT is responsible for collaborating within the SAP Global Procurement Organization as part of the Commodity Procurement-IT Team, internal line of business customers and other key stakeholders in developing and executing the sourcing strategy and driving improvements in the transactional processing of its IT requirements. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated strong partnerships with internal clients and experience in successfully sourcing and negotiating with client hardware and telecom service vendors.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participate in and facilitate cross-functional teams for sourcing across the enterprise with a diverse and geographically distributed employee base.
- Contribute to cost savings targets to achieve year over year cost reductions on managed spend. Track personally influenced cost savings and report within appropriate SAP tools.
- Research, develop and manage superior vendor relationships while leveraging global buying power within the SAP procurement system.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Typically six (6) or more years of relevant experience in procurement. Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, procurement, finance, management or equivalent; MBA, and experience with SAP systems a plus.
- Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Excel (pivot tables) and PowerPoint is required.
- An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
- Previous corporate indirect sourcing experience in a broad range of IT requirements: hardware (eg client hardware network and telecom), software, and maintenance.
- Current knowledge of IT commodities required.
