Senior Business Technical Analyst

Seeking a highly-skilled Business Technical Analyst to be one of the lead minds behind the development of an eCommerce Platform which will support the digital ordering needs for our Corporation globally.

This position will have the exciting responsibility for:

- Partnering with our global business stakeholders on the creation of business requirements
- Translating business requirements into functional and technical requirements
- Managing requirements throughout all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Validating that requirements are being met in technical designs and code deliveries
- Serving as a subject-matter expert for the functionality of the eCommerce Platform

CREATION/EVALUATION/INTERPRETATION OF BUSINESS/TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Requirements Gathering and Definition
- Report on detailed information regarding the state of the features for the eCommerce solutions
- Creation and maintenance of documentation pertaining to product features, work processes, etc. Such activities include: Adhering to established standards and remaining current on business analysis practices, procedures, and techniques; Following-up with internal clients about completed tasks to ensure client satisfaction; Assessing and documenting business requirements; Assisting with the creation of test cases to ensure that the delivered solution meets the business needs

MANAGEMENT OF PRODUCT FEATURES

- Maintain master list of features for various software releases
- Provide business analysis support for complex software applications, including analysing and documenting business processes and translating user requirements to software development teams
- Change Management around messaging for new/changing features of the product
- Participation in Governance meetings pertaining to the product

SUPPORT FOR ECOMMERCE PLATFORM

- Issue Tracking
- Create customized reports based on data provided by various teams via emails, phone calls, meetings, and updates within Change Management system
- Assist global markets with deployment/migration activities, as required
- May facilitate weekly meetings for the discussion and coordination of activities with internal business & IT partners and suppliers
- Cross-team leadership and change management skills for many initiatives as the organization evolves

SKILLS:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- 3 - 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst gathering/defining requirements, building systems solutions, and managing business requirements
- Organization skills and communication expertise complimented by a technology background is preferred
- Documentation skills including non-functional, functional, business rule, and business processes are required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, often changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment
- Detail-oriented

- Ability to follow up
- General knowledge of eCommerce, smartphones, and web/mobile applications

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

- 5 years of professional work experience
- Experience working on eCommerce solutions
- Experience working on consumer-facing mobile applications or Web Based Applications
- Experience with requirements management or change management systems
- Help desk experience
- Experiences with task management systems (eg Peregrine)

REQUIRED TECHNOLOGY SKILLS

- Ability to understand, configure, and manage complex technology solutions
- General understanding of Windows, MS Office, Outlook
- General understanding of SDLC, and Data Flows
- Troubleshooting ability

PREFERRED TECHNOLOGY SKILLS

- Experience with various software/application development methodologies
- Experience in Visual Basic, SQL experience, or general programming
- 1-2 years software support experience
- Experience with MS Visio
- General understanding of XML

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

- Required: Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred: Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
