Senior Business Systems Analyst I

We have an exciting opening for a Sr. Business Systems Analyst I position with our progressive client in the Columbia, SC area. This is a long-term contract position. Excellent communication skills required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Elicit and document user requirements to meet a business objective. Identify and validate requirements and organize the information into a logical document using business analysis models that is understood by the customer and Information Systems.
- Mentor less experienced business systems analysts.
- Respond to questions and ensure understanding of why the business solution was chosen. Guide both technical and customer departments in the development of the systems.
- Facilitate the transfer of knowledge about the "big picture" direction of the business units to others who support them.
- Ensure the accurate deployment of solutions through review of problem logs, assisting with test plans and test matrices, and other analysis activities.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

- IT business analysis experience in health care, insurance, and/or another industry-appropriate environment for the supported business unit. (Required, 6 years)
- This person would need to have an understanding & knowledge of network terminology. (Required, 1 year)
- Experience working with business solutions involving large & complex enterprise environment. (Required, 1 year)
- Experience working with Release Management and Change Management methodologies. (Required, 1 year)
- Strong experience working in or working very closely with IT infrastructure environments. (Required, 2 years)
- Skills involving bringing networking and business together. (Required)
- MS Visio (Required, 1 year)
- MS Project (Desired, 2 years)
- PMP or other related project management experience (Nice to Have, 2 years)
