Our client is a high-visibility financial business looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst who will be responsible for managing the development, enhancement and implementation of applications and application upgrades.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensure integrity of Microsoft forecast revenue and P&L data.
- Monitor operations, including interfaces with various systems, data validation, and monthly forecast cycles.
- Interface with business owners to assist in the definition, interpretation, and implementation of system enhancements.
- Manage the inbound/outbound data requirements (both schedule requirements and data composition) for the monthly forecasting cycle.
- Work with analysis, development, test, and production support teams to ensure delivery of required enhancements through SDLC.
- Acquire extensive technical knowledge of complicated system architecture and leading edge technologies.
- Use the acquired technical knowledge to guide application infrastructure and rapidly identify and implement resolutions to system problems.
- Implement business controls and review audits to ensure data quality.
- Team with internal and external business contacts to proactively respond to data and system interface issues.
- Challenge existing processes and implement changes as needed
- Assist in the fiscal month end close process, ensuring complete, accurate, and timely delivery
- Maintain business rules and management reporting hierarchies
- Provide analysis on an ad-hoc basis to various customers

QUALIFICATIONS

- 3-5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience required.
- BA/BS in Accounting/Finance/MIS or related field preferred.
- Strong communication skills - written, oral, interpersonal
- High attention to detail and ability to work within stringent deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and deal effectively with ambiguity
- Advanced PC Skills (Excel in particular)
- Strong problem solving ability and ability to utilize experience to improve processes
- Good understanding of relational databases, a good working knowledge of SQL queries, and a working knowledge of the Microsoft internal finance is a plus.
- SQL Proficient
- MDX proficient
- Good Understanding of OLAP

Familiarity with MDX and SQL 2005 Analysis
