Senior Business Systems Analyst

Our high-visibility client is responsible for delivering and driving enterprise class Corporate/Executive level solutions for Financial and Management Reporting. This is a team dedicated to identifying, implementing, and supporting the best financial reporting solutions in order to create useful, timely decision support tools and processes for the client's large enterprise finance dept. All members of the team have the opportunity to directly impact the way the client measures its business success, and are encouraged to seek out and implement process and design improvements as a part of ongoing responsibilities.

We are looking for a strong Reporting Analyst/Developer with a solid understanding of what comprises a holistic reporting solution. This UI Developer must have experience with SharePoint development and configuration along with advanced Excel skills. The successful candidate for this position will have a solid understanding of financial business processes and the ability to translate that understanding using strong information worker development skills. S/He will also work closely with BI technologies and should therefore have a strong passion for applying business/technical knowledge and experience to develop an innovative and comprehensive reporting experience for users.

OVERVIEW

- Work with business owners and product managers to ensure the accuracy of business requirements for reporting (business drivers, technical capability/functionality, deployment and adoption feasibility)
- Provide estimates for scope, assess risk and identify key assumptions
- Coordinate with business operations/data management team on various tasks for the development and maintenance of Scorecards/Reports
- Develop Excel web reports based of off the final business requirements; these dynamic reports connect to the relational databases and Analysis Services cubes in UAT and Production environments over the Share point Services Portal
- Development work also consists of various tasks of configurations, security, use of XML, HTML, and other Scripting technologies
- Data analysis and Scorecard/Reports validation along with troubleshooting are some of the keys of existing processes and workflows
- Make necessary changes to optimize performance and user experience

QUALIFICATIONS

- BA/BS degree in Finance/Information Systems or related discipline and minimum of 3-5 years of related experience
- SharePoint development and configuration skills required
- Basic SQL skills and experience in either JavaScript or VBscript
- Orth development experience (Web/Windows in.NET/C#) a plus
- Previous experience in financial or management reporting and business scorecard solutions
- Experience and strong understanding of the Microsoft BI stack (SQL, Analysis Services, SSRS, Excel Services, etc.)
- Experience leveraging collaboration technology (eg SharePoint) to deliver BI
- Strong T-SQL, MDX, Reporting Services and Scorecarding skills as well as BI Reporting development/deployment experience
- Strong understanding of financial processes (eg revenue consolidation, budget, forecast, etc.)
- Ability to act as a liaison between business stakeholders and development teams to ensure successful technical fulfillment of business requirements
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and changing business requirements
- Excellent cross-group collaboration skills and the ability to influence stakeholders
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

This contract position is expected to be 6 months in duration.
