Job Description PURPOSE:
Supports the functional objectives of assigned department or team by performing a variety of routine and complex activities in support of their functional processes, programs, and/or services. You can draft a custom scope to include any unique aspects of the job which significantly differentiate it from other positions at this level.

This position provides essential administrative support for multiple clinical trials. This includes routine and some more complicated tasks and activities that ensure that information is collected, shared, coded, captured and tracked appropriately. The incumbent is an essential member of the trial team. They work very closely with each trial teams Project Manager, In House Clinical Research Associate, Clinical Trial Coordinator and Lead Clinical Research Associate. Some of the essential functions of this position include; distribution of safety reports to sites, meeting scheduling, Set up of teleconferences, tracking and distributing meeting minutes, distribution of correspondence to trial sites, coordination of site feasibility process, monthly benchmark report distribution to sites, coordination of the protocol deviation process, distribution of eCRF patient data CD's, maintaining logs, entry of select documents into the eTMF, and trial document coding. The incumbent must have demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Must be able to multitask, work independently, and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is required.

RELATIONSHIPS:
Frequent inter and intra-departmental contact is required, as well as contact with individuals representing outside organizations, requiring some explanation or interpretation. May provide guidance and assistance to lower level clerical positions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Demonstrates competencies in the technical, regulatory, legal, or other terminology specific to the appropriate functional processes.
- May be responsible for managing the processing and data entry of technical complaints or adverse events. May assist clinical project team with tasks related to project start-up, clinical conduct, and close out activities.
- May occasionally provide some administrative support to department or function or assist with overflow work from higher level administrative positions.
- May perform a variety of moderately complex activities in support of finance, such as ensuring compliance with expense reports, performing targeted audits, or employee training.
- May perform a variety of moderately complex purchasing, procurement, or pricing duties; coordinate and facilitate the PRB submission process; provide customer service to patients, pharmacists, and health care professionals regarding our products and services; or assist with project management activities.
- May perform duties similar to that of the Business Support Coordinator, in addition to performing a variety of moderately complex activities in support of the functional objectives of assigned department or team, such as Human Resources, Finance, Sales/Marketing, Purchasing, Legal, or Medical/Clinical.
- May provide technical and administrative support to Payroll operations, Fleet, Compensation, Benefits, or Staffing; or function as a data specialist for HRIS. Provides outstanding customer service to employees and external requestors by researching and responding to questions related to all aspects of Human Resources.
- Uses software and new/emerging technologies in performing the duties of the position.
- Works independently on a variety of moderately complex and diversified department activities and projects; compiling and analyzing data, creating reports, providing information regarding function specific policies and procedures for applied use by management, and tracking and control of processes, projects, and activities.
- Works under limited supervision, exercising some independent discretion and judgment, with some latitude to change work processes and work flow.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- A high school diploma and 4-6 years administrative or related experience required.
- Must possess demonstrated skills in PC applications, typically involving new/emerging technologies such as on-line databases, optical technology, intranet/internet, and computer software programs specific to the function.
- Senior level position requiring considerable knowledge of the job and department served; working knowledge of Company operations.
