SENIOR BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE CONSULTANT (TABLEAU, HADOOP, SPARK, MS SSIS/SSAS)

The contract is with a large consultancy based in Brussels to be on assignment at a client site in Den Haag, Netherlands. The client is urgently seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant.

Tasks:

BI Platform concept review
o Review of business, technical and security requirements, including information flows across operational and corporate domains
o Update concept definition document, including roadmap
o Identification of suitable toolsets for the different functions (data acquisition and storage, processing, dash boarding, reporting, transformation, etc.), including assessing the potential usage of Hadoop-style solutions

Dashboarding Capability Update
o Document, update Tableau Server/Desktop setup and configuration procedures, incorporating best practices for performance and flexibility and recommendations for (automated) monitoring
o Revision and development of secure access to Tableau Server data sources and dashboards, according to business function and target audiences, integrated with client solution
o Revision and development of data acquisition method for new Analysis System BI data
o Analysis and development of five (5) reference dashboards for new Analysis System solution
o Review and give recommendations related to implemented messaging system reporting capability

BI data model
o Information gathering on already identified BI data models
o Development of data model documentation
o Identification and development of suitable data model governance process

Professional experience - mandatory

. 2 years experience in configuring, customising and develoing dashboards with Tableau Desktop and Server
. 4 years experience in configuring, customising and developing analysis structures using MS SSIS and SSAS
. 4 years experience in the definition of Business Intelligence platforms for data acquisition, processing and reporting
. 2 years experience in configuring, customising and developing solutions based on Hadoop and Spark
. Knowledge of Tableau Technologies products
. Knowledge of MS SSIS and SSAS
. Knowledge of Hadoop and Spark

. Working knowledge of English - level B2 or higher

Professional Knowledge - desirable

. Knowledge of MS SQL Server 2014
. Knowledge of Oracle DBMS
