Senior Business Glossary Analyst (Contract)

For an international financial institution in Zurich we are seeking a highly motivated professional to take up the following challenge:

SENIOR BUSINESS GLOSSARY ANALYST (CONTRACT) - 5877

Create a bridge between master data, meta data and terminology by providing a flexible dictionary

- Requirement analysis of common data dictionary (incl. UI functionality and workflow capabilities)
- Definition of data dictionary principles, business meta-data governance process and data quality standards
- Migrate/on-board other data dictionaries from various business nits on to the existing data dictionary

JOB DESCRIPTION

- Ability to perform complex analysis tasks
- Interact with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their problems and needs
- Translate business user concepts and ideas into comprehensive business requirements and design documents
- Develop and design data model (conceptual, logical and physical)
- Coordinate implementation with other technical teams
- Produce structure and manageable representation of analysis results
- Communicate results to stakeholders on all levels
- Architecting the solution and framework
- Define meta data governance framework

REQUIREMENTS

- Proven track record with Re/Insurance industry experience in similar role
- Expertise in business and technical fundamentals of information management (meta data management, relational databases, Datamodelling, data dictionaries etc)
- Talent for turning fragmented sets of information into authoritative enterprise-wide big picture
- Database design expert (conceptual, logical, physical Datamodelling, data migration activities)
- Agile project methodology
- Very strong communication skills with ability to handle ambiguity and conflicting information

CONTRACT DETAILS

- Location near Zürich
- Start early September
- 12 months contract with possible extension
- CHF 800 - 830 per day all inclusive
