Senior Business Applications Expert (f/m)

Starting date: 1st of October 2016
Length of the contract: 12 months with possibility of extension

Task description:
*Provide 3-rd line support of desktop workstations and office automation products, including assistance to end users (mainly economists and statisticians), problem diagnosis, troubleshooting and bug fixing
*Investigate, diagnose and resolve system problems using available tools
*Create, test and document software deployment for IT services and applications
*Conduct desktop applications and software deployment packages, acceptance tests according to predefined operational requirements to ensure appropriate hand-over/roll-out of IT services and systems/applications to production environment
*Provide training to support staff with new procedures and software tools

Your profile:
*Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, information system security, or related disciplines
*Engineering and design experience
*Experience in managing Windows machines based on VMWare software
*Experience in deploying, configuring and supporting analytical and econometric software such as MATLAB, R/RStudio, Stata, Tableau
*Very good knowledge of Windows operating system, Microsoft software distribution (e.g. SCCM), Windows scripting languages (e.g. Powershell and/or VBScript)
*A good command of English with proven drafting ability
