ROLE - Senior Business Analyst

DURATION - Until 13.12.2013

LOCATION - London

PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAMME

This project is managing the changes to the business processes that relate to OTC Derivatives in order to comply with the European Market Infrastructure Regulations (EMIR) and corresponding US regulations (Dodd Frank Title VII).

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To analyse the impact of Central Clearing Requirements under both Dodd Frank and EMIR regulations on the business model and define and implement a future state business model for monitoring/managing the performance impact.

Working in conjunction with the key stakeholders (both internal and external Third Parties), the business analyst will be responsible for:

- Co-ordinating the processes to identify and agree the appropriate future state business models to allow compliance with the regulations.
- Documenting the resulting future state business models
- Supporting the introduction and implementation of the new business models

Specifically, the analyst will be responsible for:

- Analysing and documenting the performance  impact of the regulations on the business model
- Margin requirements and simulation across Clearing Houses and Clearing Members and impact on performance
- Analysing how performance is impacted as a result of changing ineligible instruments into eligible instruments

CORE SKILLS

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with

- A demonstrable depth of understanding of the Investment/Asset Management industry, processes and practices - particularly in relation to OTC Derivatives, including recent knowledge of: Interest Rate, Credit and Equity derivatives; transactional flows and trade capture processes; Central Clearing processes; Collateral management processes; Trade reporting processes.
- A background in working closely with Front Office fund managers, and a proven ability to communicate effectively with fund managers at all levels of detail.

The BA should be:

- Experienced in defining revised business models to reflect regulatory change, and in supporting the introduction of these revised processes.
- Experienced in dealing with a wide range of senior stakeholders and third parties (brokers, clearing houses, regulators etc).
- Display willingness and ability to work independently

DESIRED SKILLS

- Proven track record of analysing impacts of the EMIR and DF regulations in an Asset Management business.
