Senior Business Analyst (Information Integration)

POSITION GOALS:

In the role of a senior business analyst the candidate takes on a key role in this project, which is part of a strategic company-wide data integration program. The project is focused on how the company manages its information on insurance contracts throughout their life cycle. The goal is to improve and automate their traceability end-to-end. The candidate must perform complex analysis tasks across several departments, covering a number of ODS, data warehouses and end-user applications. The candidate has a self-starter attitude and can comfortably navigate business and technical aspects of information management.

MAIN TASKS OR ACTIVITIES:

- Perform encompassing analyses of technical and business aspects of how contract information is managed and enriched across its life cycle throughout the company
- Document findings, both technically and with regards to the business process
- Build strawman that integrates contract information from multiple systems (non-production)
- Derive implementation recommendations and plan for potential follow-up project

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Knowledge of the business and technical fundamentals of information management (relational databases, Datamodelling, information integration)
- Ability to turn fragmented sets of information into a concise as-is picture
- Ability to develop information integration strawman, using eg Oracle, MS BI, Excel PowerPivot, etc.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and conflicting information
- Experience with similar task in a complex organization
