ROLE - Senior Business Analyst - Group Operations - AML & Sanctions - Birmingham - £505/day

PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAMME

Our client, a leading UK retail bank require the services of a Business Analyst to identify gaps in the AML & Sanctions systems landscape vs the standards in AML & Sanctions policies. This is a business side initiative that requires understanding of AML & Sanctions compliance policies and standards and to assess how they map to the systems infrastructure. Key activities will include data flow analysis and process mapping. The gaps identified will then require prioritisation for remediation. Some remediation will occur as part of this initiative, other remediation work will be larger and require its own projects

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Two business analysts to perform the analysis. This is to examine the AML & Sanctions Compliance policies and standards. To compare those against the AML & Sanctions systems landscape to identify gaps. Key activities will include data flow analysis and process mapping. The key deliverable of the initial stage will be a gap analysis document. All gaps will then need to be prioritised with solutions identified.

THIS COULD THEN RESULT IN SOME (ALL?) OF THOSE REMEDIATION PROJECTS OCCURRING

- 3-5 years Business Analysis experience
- Understanding and appreciation of Sanctions and AML in a banking environment
- Experience of working with policies and standards
- Understanding and experience of methods to perform a data flow analysis and process mapping exercise
- This is a business side assessment but it would be useful for one of the two BAs to have some systems analysis background (not deep technical such as Java or DB but understanding architectures to serve business objectives)
- 3-5 years banking experience
- Experience of gap analysis work

CORE SKILLS

- 2-5 years Business Analysis experience
- Understanding and appreciation of Sanctions and AML in a banking environment
- Experience of working with policies and standards
- For one of the two BAs to have some systems analysis background (not deep technical such as Java or DB but understanding architectures to serve business objectives)
- 3-5 years banking experience

DESIRABLE SKILLS

- Sanctions experience in a banking environment
- Excellent Business Analyst skills in a banking environment
- A self starter who is motivated to work on their own initiative but who is a team player and is able to share knowledge and ideas

This is initially an approximate 3 month assessment but has the potential to grow into several remediation projects
