SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST - FIXED INCOME - ABU DHABI - EXCELLENT RATES - 6 MONTH CONTRACT

LOCATION: Abu Dhabi 

RATES: Excellent Rates

DURATION: 6 months 

Demonstrates solid domain knowledge of the Fixed Income and treasury business along with a detailed understanding of the full life cycle of the investment and trading process such as portfolio construction, trading strategies, valuation and risk management. At a more detailed level understands the characteristics of each of the sub-asset classes that trade with a comprehensive understanding of the key data elements relating to each security.  Although this is a senior role, it is expected that the job holder will as required be hands on' and undertake detailed problem analysis and develop practical solutions. Is experienced in the management of staff and co-ordinating the delivery of small projects, in particular those requiring input from external suppliers.  The ability to liaise effectively and work with external application providers will become an increasingly important aspect of the role.

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

- Has experience of supporting, implementing and enhancing preferably vendor based IT solutions for Fixed Income buy side firms.
- Has a detailed understanding of the typical investment life cycle.  Is adept at working with key staff to understand the detail as this relates  and translating this into appropriate technology solutions.
- Ideally has a good understanding of downstream process steps as executed by back and Middle Office functions.  When designing solutions for the Front Office can work with downstream areas to ensure that the recommended approach is robust from an end to end perspective.
- Has experience with market standard risk and performance management tools (eg Barclays POINT, FACTSET, Risk Metrics) and the various methodologies they support for managing risk, performance and attribution.
- As well as experience with traditional Fixed Income securities, some experience of designing solutions for Fixed Income derivatives is required 

EXPERIENCE

- Minimum of 7 years experience supporting and enhancing Fixed Income systems in a Front Office buy side firm.
- An advantage would be experience of working on Back Office and Middle Office systems in a buy side firm
- Ideally has some IT technical background but can at a minimum demonstrate an understanding of  systems architectures
- Can deliver work using appropriate project methodologies
