BUSINESS ANALYST (FINANCE/SAP CO-PA-PC), BASEL - PHARMA
Are you a senior Business Analyst with proven experience in Finance and Business currently looking for your next exciting project?

On behalf of our client, one of the biggest pharmaceutical players based in Basel, we are looking for a senior Business Analyst with considerable experience in the financial reporting and consolidation area (incl. SAP CO/SAP CO-PA and SAP CO-PC).
This is a contracting position starting ASAP until end of November with the option of an extension.
PROJECT BACKGROUND:
In order to achieve its goals, the projects' approach entails detailed analysis of the existing financial reporting systems and associated processes to validate their appropriateness.
PERFORMING IN THIS ROLE YOU AS SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT IN FINANCE (SAP-CO) WILL HAVE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifying and documenting current calculation methods, detailing any gaps or bottlenecks
- Developing recommendations to either maintain or change existing processes as relevant
- Overall support in validating Costs of Goods sold
- Supporting stream leads make a business case towards any recommended changes
- If needed, help other team members with achieving their committed deliverable
YOU BRING FOR THIS ROLE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 10 YEARS' EXPERIENCE in FINANCE and BUSINESS within a GLOBAL MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT
- 10 YEARS' EXPERIENCE with SAP ACCOUNTING (ie SAP-CO/SAP CO-PA/SAP CO-PC)
- DATA ANALYTICAL skills
- Comfortable with pivot table lookup's and other industry standard computing utilities
- Good experience with CREATING USER REQUIREMENTS, FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATIONS and DATABASE DESIGNS
- Hands-on experience RECONCILING DISPARATE IT SYSTEMS and PROCESSES
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English
- Ability to work under tight timelines and virtual teams
- Experience in the pharmaceutical area will be an advantage
- University degree (preferably in informatics or business) or MBA
