Senior Business Analyst - Banking

SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST - BANKING - COMMERCIAL

A Financial Services client of mine is currently recruiting for a Senior Business Analyst to work on a Risk/Finance programme concerning upcoming regulatory changes

OVERVIEW/SCOPE OF PROGRAMME

This role will work with stakeholders and representatives from the Risk and Finance business units and related third parties to define and document requirements and processes for both business and technology projects, primarily this role will be working on IFRS 9, however further and future projects will vary depending on business needs.

IFRS 9 will have wide ranging impacts across the business. It will impact people, processes and systems.

OBJECTIVES

Support and help drive the implementation of IFRS 9 in full to an agreed timescale and budget, including testing.

Build data requirements for credit risk models.

Identify linkages and synergies between IFRS 9 and other projects.

Deliver required changes to processes, systems and models (including model governance).

Financial assets analysed to determine their classification under IFRS 9 and implement any consequent changes to associated processes and accounting.

Hedge accounting: determine if any change to current approach

Disclosures: determine level detail required and ensure all data requirements are met and enable dual reporting in 2017, whereby disclosures are produced using current IAS 39 methodology and IFRS 9 methodology.
