Senior Business Analyst

A well known Global Investment Bank with a large office based in Sydney has a need for a Senior Business Analyst to join the team in this key lead position.

The focus on the role will be to utilize your industry experience and technical knowledge, in addition to exceptional stakeholder management skills to gain significant buy-in from all levels of the business.

The successful applicant will be required to:

- Gather requirements using tried and tested Business Analysis techniques and critically evaluate the requirements to determine the true needs
- Effectively liaise between the relevant Business Stakeholders and Technology to determine application and operational requirements
- Document excellent requirement specifications to be used across a range of different business areas
- Get involved with future planning and actively contribute to continuous improvements in the business area
- Act effectively as a lead BA in terms of mentoring other Business Analysts
- Effectively manage and coordinate involvement between IT, Business groups and SME's
- Full involvement in the testing function including all documentation, management of resource and test delivery
- Engage all stakeholders to ensure project deadlines and deliverables are met

To be considered for this role you will possess:

- Proven experience working as an IT Business Analyst with project exposure
- Experience in Derivatives, Fixed Incomes and the "Full Trade life cycle"
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills and experience
- Online projects and technology experience is essential
- An ability to understand and coordinate individual sections of detailed processes and incorporate into larger framework
- A full understanding of business processes and the impacts on all stakeholders
- Experience with Visio, Excel and MS Project
- A degree or tertiary qualification in IT or Finance is preferred
- Industry qualifications are preferred
