Senior Business Analyst

Purpose

To ensure that business requirements are assessed and agreed fit for purpose solutions are achieved and align to enterprise business architecture. To ensure viability by leading business case assessment on behalf of Sponsor.

Core Accountabilities

Takes responsibility for investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through information systems, information management, practices, procedures, and organisation change.
Leads business requirements and process work streams to support project deliverables.
Applies and monitors the use of required modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards, giving special consideration to business perspectives.
Prepares business cases which demonstrate costs and benefits of, options to achieve business outcome
Conducts investigations at a high level for strategy studies, business requirements specifications and feasibility studies.
Identifies stakeholders and their business needs.
Works with colleagues and users to investigate and document business functions, processes, and information flows and data structures, using various methodical and consistent techniques.
Prepares and facilitates user meetings and presents issues and solutions orally and visually
Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for business suitability; Working with suppliers to check that solutions specifications meet agreed requirements.
Work with solution providers eg IT, to identify options and ensure solutions are fit for purpose and meet business needs.
Liaise with business architect to ensure solutions align to overall business architecture and follow the Regulators architecture and data governance and controls. ;
Coordinate enhancements / changes to existing systems / processes, including analysis, design, documentation, testing, end-user training and implementation
Present end to end proposed designs to different levels of stakeholders
Coach other business analysts
