Senior Business Analyst

Senior Business Analyst with a strong understanding of information and application interdependencies, requirements analysis, and system development methodologies required for initial 3 month contract in the CBD. You will work with the Business Sponsor to refine and validate the business vision and business problem and document the projects scope.

DUTIES:

- Redefine and validate the anticipated business benefits and benefits case
- Identify project stakeholders and user groups.
- Lead requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise and feasible
- Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, business process descriptions, use case scenarios, business analysis
- Decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements
- Draft the business case including high level scope and project plan

Required experience:

- Minimum 5+ years' Business Analyst experience in the information management domain
- Strong Information Management project delivery experience
- Experience in gathering business and data requirements and business modelling for large Data Warehouse or Business Intelligence projects
- Experience in applying the principles of data architecture where relevant
- Ability to design and facilitate workshops with diverse stakeholders
- Experience in business case and scoping documentation
- Very strong and articulate communicator
- Ability to interact with and get the best from a diverse group of stakeholders including at a Senior Executive level
- Excellent interviewing skills to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to obtain essential information
