Senior Business Analyst

A leading Retail Bank based in Edinburgh currently requires a Senior Business Analyst to join a large Transaction Banking Programme.

*UML EXPERIENCE IS KEY FOR THIS ROLE

PROGRAMME:

This part of the programme will focus on channel enhancements across TB to support the customer value proposition delivered within the wider programme.

ROLE:

Senior Business Analyst is required to act as a primary link between the Programme/business/IT teams to ensure a successful outcome of the project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

- The custodian of the business requirements, ensuring they are fit for purpose, signed off, prioritised and aligned to the TBT strategy
- Full e2e As Is' & To Be' process modelling for the specified Business product area(s). Ensure they are sufficiently detailed, reviewed & signed off.
- Producing Business Use Case Specifications & UI Specifications. Conduct stake holder reviews (Business, Non Functional & IT) to ensure detailed requirements have been fully satisfied
- Drive business change and guidance, facilitation to shape potential change to business areas - close working with Colleague Journey and Training Team.
- Troubleshoot issues as required and implement recommended courses of action through to completion.        

KEY SKILLS:

- In-depth experience as a Senior Business Analyst
- Banking experience
- Must demonstrate experience of Object Orientated methodology (OO, RUP) & ability to produce UML artefacts (Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, State Diagrams, Use Case Modelling)
- Strong negotiation skills and effective communicator, both written and verbal at all levels
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills at all levels

DESIRABLE  SKILLS:

- Experience of previous eCommerce projects within Banking - specifically portal projects
- Experience of producing UI wireframes & UI specifications
- Highly motivated and attention to detail is key
