SENIOR BUSINESS ADMIN - FRONT OFFICE

Opportunity for an experienced Senior Business Admin to join a tier one Investment Bank, supporting Markets Quant Analysis (MQA) team.

The senior business administrator will represent the business and play a key role in project initiatives, work with Business Heads to prepare presentations to both internal and external audiences, ensure a suitable governance, oversight, and control framework exists and is in line with corporate policies, and act as a key point of contact between the Business and multiple stakeholder groups including Legal, Compliance, Middle Office, Risk and Technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE;

Headcount tracking and monthly reporting to management for a department of 240+ people spread over 8 locations, plus Intern and rotating analysts/associate programs, this can be a challenge. Track actual vs budget/open heads etc. Also included is contract management for any vendor staff/contractors that we are employing. Headcount plans for Markets management showing rationale/business demand, costs etc.

Understand and manage the cost base of the department and manage creation of costs centres as required. Each quant head should receive their own run rate analysis.

Cost allocations - MQA has some 15 -20 cost centres - the department will allocate our costs to the business as a percentage of the costs incurred by each cost centre, on an annual basis although it can be adjusted quarterly. Analysis and dissemination back to MQA heads of what this $ figure and headcount represents and year on year changes is useful too.

Technology Administration:

Keep track of the inventory, software licences both individual plus shared/pooled licences. Ensure all software used is under maintenance. The department has some $2mm of Servers in data centres in London and NY that we own. Need to make sure the charging and inventory for these is correct too. Keep track of who has admin rights.

Annual SOX Audit with external auditor. Understand what is required of MQA wrt to model delivery from the auditors' perspective.

EXPERIENCE;

Significant experience as a business manager for a tier one investment bank is essential.
