Senior Build Engineer 2x

Start date: ASAP, but at the latest start at 2 March
Duration: 3 months, on proven ability intending to hire for a longer time
Hours a week: 40

Motivation:
The IT4Voyager project needs to redesign the current makefile/build system for the litho build environment used by the software development department of the client. This redesign is a preparation for a clean Linux release split-off (at7.3) from the qualified software baseline in Q3-2015.

The development team needs an experienced build engineer to help implement the redesign. The implementation will be realized within a team of 3 build developers and a test engineer. The redesign has an Object Oriented structure and is already available for implementation.

When the new build system has been built and tested, the tools that make use of the build system needs to be tested on their compatibility. Tools need to be adapted when necessary.

THE BUILD ENGINEER WILL WORK ON THE FOLLOWING DELIVERABLES:

- Implementation of Object Oriented software based upon existing design
- Write and define unit tests
- Document low level implementation
- Adaption of software tools when not compatible with new build system

EXPERIENCE:

- Experience with Object Oriented software development (> 2 years)
- Working knowledge of Make
- UML (reading)
- Experience with working on a Linux environment (bash Scripting, regular expressions)
- Agile software development
- Experience with Ruby and/or Perl is a pre
