Role Purpose:
-The Automation Engineer is responsible for quickly and accurately and understand the automation needs, creating a technical solution based on deep technology expertise, industry knowledge, automation experience and creative, collaborative thinking.
-This role is responsible for defining and designing solutions, documenting and communicating solutions and building consensus around the solution.
-This role requires technical expertise in multiple automation and management platforms such as: Chef, Puppet, Ansible, vRealize Automation (vRA), vRealize Orchestrator (vRO)
-This role requires technical expertise in Scripting and coding tools like PowerShell, Javascript (JS), Bash, etc.

Responsibilities:
-Responsible to develop Automated Workflows for the Informatics Infrastructure
-The Automation Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining a number of technologies, primarily VRA, VRO and therefore responsible for aligning the technology solutions with business requirements to ensure customer success.
-Should provide technical/industry knowledge to guide solution development
-The Automation Engineer should have an experience in the field of IT and different technical solutions.
-Responsible to manage technical evaluations, POCs and make-technology recommendations
-Should be able to provide technical leadership to other development teams to build collaborative solutions.
-Should be able to effectively analyze technical issues and gather requirements from all appropriate sources.
-Should therefore analyze existing solutions to understand existing performance and functionality.
-Should be able to develop clear and accurate documentation of existing solutions and requirements.
-Responsible for development of technical solutions that are meet the customer requirements, meet security baselines, are cost effective, align with our overall technical roadmap, and integrate well with the existing infrastructure.
-Should be able to document technical solutions, drive consensus with effective communication and outreach.
-Should be responsible for developing project schedules and budgets.

Required Skills:
-Must have at least 5 years' working experience in any of the following roles Systems Engineer or Architect

1.Systems Automation/Tools Developer/DevOps Engineer
2.Cloud/Virtualization Engineer
-Must have at least 3 years in developing technical solutions for automation.
-Should be an expertise with the following technology areas:

1. Automation: vRealize Automation, vRealize Orchestrator or anyone Automation/Orchestrator tool.
2.Scripting: Javascript, bash, PowerShell
-Should you have a good experience with the following:

1.Cloud technologies: AWS components
2.Operating systems: Linux (RHEL/CentOS), Windows Server
3.Infrastructure: Knowledge of infrastructure environment: Server, Storage, Network, Database, Middleware, etc.
-Should have good experience working on cross-functional teams/projects (on time, on spec, on quality and on budget)
- Have an demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to peers
-Must have strong hands-on personality, results-oriented, pragmatic, high-quality standards, ability to multi-task detail oriented, thorough, complete
-Should have good experience in delivering large scale, secure and reliable services.
-Must have atleast 7 years experience with Netapp and 8 years experience in Storage.

Nice to have:
-Experience in other Pharmaceutical, Academic or Biotech company wants to be an advantage

Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree with a Biology, Chemistry will be an advantage.
LANGUAGES:Fluency in English (knowledge of additional languages is an advantage).
