Senior Asset Planning Engineer

I have an immediate vacancy for a Senior Asset Planning Engineer. In this role, specific Asset Planning experience is essential.

My client is a Global operator, and the role will be based in Aberdeen. This will be on a contract basis, with very competitive rates on offer.

JOB DIMENSIONS:
The key dimensions of the job comprise the management of an asset's multi-function long- and short-term offshore activities within the operations planning department. The long-term activities include being accountable for planning input to the corporate planning process. The short-term activities include the management of the plan detail to ensure day-to-day site issues and POB management are efficiently handled. This on average could total 500,000 man-hours per site per anum

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Production of Operations integrated activity schedules on a weekly/monthly basis
*Ensure all offshore activities meet readiness criteria, ie workpack complete, materials available, competent personnel, etc.
*Ensure Engineer Plan contains all current and future known works in line with the annual budget process
*Facilitate and chair weekly/monthly planning review meetings
*Maintaining the quality of the Company's Operations planning function
*Ensuring that planning activities are accurate and meet Company/third party requirements

MAIN ACTIVITIES:
*Manage the planning input into the Corporate, Long Term and associated budget plans
*Chair/facilitate weekly/monthly planning review meetings. These are cross-functional meetings attended by Company/contractor representatives (Field Manager, Projects Manager, Operations, Maintenance, Drilling, OIM, EC Contractor, etc.)
*Liaise with Field Managers and Projects to resolve high-level priorities for corporate planning activities
*Manage interface with EC and occasional flotel interventions to optimise planned activities
*Liaise with Maintenance/Production Engineering to ensure any outages are optimised and kept to a minimum
*Liaise with Finance to ensure the engineering plans and internal studies are reflected in the PDC budgets
*Be accountable for the accuracy of asset planning output and planning advice given to other departments
*Attend morning calls to Asset OIM/Terminal Manager
*Deputise for Planning Team Leader in their absence

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
*Qualification in a technical discipline and appropriate experience in as Asset or Projects Planning role
*Proactive, with excellent communications and problem-solving skills
*Ability to adapt to the rapidly changing Operations environment
*Experience of P6 planning tool
*Numerate
*Good understanding and working experience of cross-departmental practices
