Senior Architect, Database - Permanent

Yoh has a contract to hire opportunity for a SENIOR ARCHITECT, DATABASE to join our client in San Bruno, CA.

Job Responsibilities:
- Lead, create, and implement hardware and/or software solutions by designing Back End systems.
- Provide high level design for new future architecture.
- Lead/develop software strategy and direction in Back End systems, including but not limited to:
- Clarify existing architecture at the enterprise level.
- Validating systems implementation roadmaps for the enterprise.
- Design enterprise integration architecture for current or future processes.
- Collaborate with Product and Project Managers to define product features, architectural deliverables and project estimate.
- Provide troubleshooting and investigation and perform the application tuning to meet the business requirements.
- On call rotation every few weeks for critical issues and 24/7 support.
- Provides supervision for associates by selecting and training/mentoring.

Job Qualifications:
- 15 plus years IT with at least seven (7) as an Enterprise level Architect designing High Availability database Architecture including disaster recovery solution, backup planning.
- Proven success at leading and guiding DBEs and DBAs.
- Must have excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Previous experience meeting/presenting to C Level Executives.
- Must have large scale Enterprise engineering experience with Hardware Oracle, Linux, RDBMS Oracle and Cassandra.
- Experience with design and solutions for a large enterprise implementation from beginning to end.

Preferred Job Skills/Experience/Knowledge:
- Couchbase (Couch) experience is a big plus.
