Senior Applied Statistician/R Programmer Job

SENIOR APPLIED STATISTICIAN/R PROGRAMMER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Chesterfield, Missouri.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Statistical data programming
- R programming
- Geospatial and genetic data management

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The statistician will provide statistical programming support to Global Analytics Team on analyses of Biotech pipeline data (genetic, geospatial and phenotypic data) including data management and data QC.
- Be involved in development of R scripts/programs to automate analytics workflows in collaboration with in-house statisticians and IT teams.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's Degree required with emphasis in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or Bioinformatics; Master's and Ph.D. preferred;
- Strong Programming Experience with R
- Must have developer level skills in SQL Scripting and coding and familiarity with relational databases
- Working knowledge of basic statistical modelling approaches (ANOVA, regression, classification)

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with SAS/SPSS/Matlab or other Scripting languages (Python, Perl)
- Programming knowledge and experience with Hadoop/Map Reduce, and Java or .NET
- Experience working with clusters/grids preferred (eg, Hadoop, Linux cluster job schedulers, etc.)
