SENIOR APPLICATION SUPPORT ENGINEER

Our client, headquartered in Zurich, is an important subsidiary of a global company in the finance industry. We are looking for an APPLICATION SUPPORT ENGINEER who can start as soon as possible.

Role:

- Maintaining and supporting operations of applications on Unix and Windows
- 2nd Level application support

Responsibilities:

- 2nd level support (incident and problem management) and maintenance of web services.
- Test, integration and production infrastructures for web based services on Solaris, Linux and Windows systems
- Planning and execution of maintenance of applications
- Testing of web applications framework
- Support of life cycle projects
- On-call support

Skills:

- IT degree or apprenticeship
- Over 5 years of experience in operating web applications on various platforms (Solaris, Linux and Windows)
- Operational knowledge and experience of web services
- Unix system administration experience
- Windows system administration considered a plus
- Incident, Problem and Change management experience
- Solid troubleshooting experience
- German and English
- System management tools experience: BMC Patrol, ITSN, ServiceNow considered a plus
- Virtualization experience considered a plus
- Unix Scripting and ITIL V3 considered a plus
