Senior Application Administrator (m/f)

IHRE AUFGABEN:

-Maintain / administer / install / upgrade applications in QA, Customer Test and Production environments
-Execute database (DML/DDL) scripts as part of a software release on databases
-Develop operational and administrative tools using shell scripts
-Monitor applications and design custom-made monitoring scripts (Nagios)
-Writing / maintaining and executing complex SQL reports (Oracle & MySQL)
-Introduction of new strategies for deployments / monitoring / administration
-Ensure the smooth operation of all division related applications (24/7)
-Development of non senior-leveled Application Administrators
-Application monitoring to meet the customer sold service levels
-Consultancy for the project management and sales teams regarding service levels
-Continuous improvement of existing documentation, tools and processes
-Taking part in system migrations and continuous adaptions to changing requirements

IHRE QUALIFIKATIONEN:

-Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or solid equivalent work experience
-Strong Linux skills and profound experience administering applications in a Linux environment

and vast experience with SQL (provide customised/tailored reports for customers and verify (cost-plan) DDL/DML) -Ability to create scripts in a variety of scripting languages (Bash, Perl, Python) and to constantly seek automated solutions for common processes
-Strong knowledge of monitoring tools, such as Nagios, and the ability to design and implement new monitoring checks
-Solid experience with Java application containers, such as Tomcat and Weblogic

and experience with high-availability concepts, RPM and most common revision control systems -Experience with agile development and project management methods is of use
-Experience with Puppet configuration and ability to introduce /develop / enhance puppet modules
-Clear, informative and well-structured technical documentation writing style, conforming to company and industry standard templates
-Excellent communication skills in English and experience within financial sector is of use

and knowledge in IT-Security, SSL and geral crypto-concepts is of use -DevOps and Contineous Integration experience would be highly appreciated
and experience with Docker, Vagrant or any comparable solution is of use
