Senior Analyst-Programmer/Developer - Visual Basic, .NET 4.0, Windows

SENIOR ANALYST-PROGRAMMER/DEVELOPER - VISUAL BASIC, .NET 4.0, WINDOWS FORMS APPLICATIONS, ENTITY

For a project with the European Commission in Brussels we are looking for a Senior Analyst-Programmer.

INTRODUCTION

The need of a Senior Analyst-Programmer with specific expertise in the context of development of DG EAC Information systems.

TASKS

The tasks that are to be performed include (beyond the ones mentioned in the FRM):

- Analysis of user requirements, design, data analysis and Datamodelling;
- Developing/Testing/Maintenance of applications;
- Integration of applications with other applications and databases;
- Configuration management
- Assistance with training the administrators and users of the system;
- Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system;
- Produce and/or update technical documentation in English;
- Provision of technical assistance to other team members;
- Participation in meetings with users;
- Assist key users in English or French;

Used development tools:

- Visual Studio 2008 and .NET 3.5/4.0;
- SQLServer 2005 and 2008;
- XML Spy;

REQUIREMENTS

- Relevant experience of XML, XPath and XSLT;
- In-depth knowledge of development environments;
- Knowledge of DG EAC programmes is an advantage;
- Fluent in EN and a working knowledge of FR;
- Quick learning ability is required as well as teamwork spirit and ability to integrate in a multilingual and multicultural environment.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

- In depth experience with Visual Basic,NET 4.0 for developing Windows forms applications Entity Framework 4, WCF
- Good knowledge of SQLServer DB and the SQL language.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The tasks will be executed within the Commission's premises (Time and Means).
