SENIOR ANALYST - PROGRAMMER/DEVELOPER - JEE, JAVA, UML, RUP, VAADIN
For a project with the European Commission in Luxembourg we are looking for a Senior Analyst-Programmer.
INTRODUCTION
The Directorate General for Translations (DGT) has developed in the past a number of applications, like Poetry, Suivi, Tradesk and Trefle to handle the management and the workflow of the translation requests and to support the work of the translators.
The present contract concerns the performance of a number of tasks of maintenance and new developments on the Tradesk/Desktops project.
OBJECTIVES
The main objectives under this contract are:
- Technical analysis and design of the business logic and the presentation layer of new modules;
- Prototyping;
- Production of technical documentation;
- Construction of the modules;
- Perform development tests;
- Draft of the documentation;
- Prepare the deployment scripts.
The Java modules have to respond to following requirements:
- JEE compliance;
- Compliance to DG DIGIT recommendations;
A full report will be made for every invoice.
TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT
The main technologies used by the existing applications are Java J2EE, Coldfusion and Oracle, Spring.
Enterprise Architect is used for the UML-based documentation.
REQUIRED PROFILE.
The candidate must have the senior analyst-programmer profile and have good working knowledge/experience on development of a Java-based JEE compliant modules and use of existing Java frameworks.
Working knowledge and experience in Object Oriented development, UML notation and documentation editing is required.
Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication.
Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid selfstarting capability and experience in team working.
Knowledge and experience with Vaadin, JWT, Swing, Spring, JPA, Eclipse, Weblogic and SVN are assets.
WORKPLACE
The workplace is in the DGT's premises in Luxembourg but working meetings at the premises of the Commission in Bruxelles (Evere) are not to be excluded.
