Senior Analyst-Programmer/Developer

CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVES
The need of an Analyst-Programmer for the development and maintenance of valorisation content management systems of DG Education and Culture.

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS

- Design, data analysis and Datamodelling of content management applications;
- Writing/Testing/Maintenance of web applications and web services;
- Integration of applications with other applications and databases;
- Configuration management
- Assistance with training the administrators and users of the system;
- Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system;
- Produce and/or update technical documentation in English;
- Provision of technical assistance to other team members;
- Participation in meetings with users;
- Assist key users in English or French;

USED DEVELOPMENT TOOLS:

- Alfresco CMS Enterprise Edition 3.4
- Java, J2EE, Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, JSP)
- Oracle 10g (incl. PL/SQL);
- Javascript, HTML, XML;
- MSOffice 2003; MSOffice 2007;

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

- Relevant experience with Oracle 10g or 11g including SQL (PL/SQL);
- Previous experience with the Lucene search engine is an advantage;
- Fluent in either FR or EN and working knowledge of the other;
- Quick learning ability is required as well as teamwork spirit and ability to integrate in a multilingual and multicultural environment.
- Knowledge of RUP methodology and UML is a plus
- Knowledge of Java, J2EE, Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate), JSP, JSF is an assets

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

- Experience with Alfresco CMS including Alfresco Share & Activity Workflow modules
- Knowlegde of Javascript, HTML, XML, XSLT
- Knowledge of web services and JMS with Weblogic, Eclipse, Ant and Junit.
- A minimum of 6 YEARS of experience as Analyst-Programmer is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT, CONDITIONSThe tasks will be executed within the Commission's premises.
