SENIOR AGILE PROGRAM MANAGER FOSTER CITY, CA 12 MONTH CONTRACT

We re seeking a candidate with strong Agile experience and 8+ years experience in directly relevant roles such as Program/Project Manager, Management Consultant, Product Developer/Manager, Business Analyst and/or Strategist. This should include 2+ years prior experience as an Agile Program Manager or Scrum Master in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:

- Driving and supporting ongoing alignment across Product, technology and supporting partner teams through effective planning, definition, and monitoring of the target product development scope for each Market Release, from kick-off through delivery.
- Ensuring the product development scope and broad range of product development projects and processes are effectively planned, aligned for delivery, monitored, and reported across multiple development organizations employing both Agile/Scrum and waterfall development methodologies.
- Owning the development, continued improvement, and training for the Product Development Life Cycle and end-to-end planning and delivery process. The team facilitates, socializes, implements, inspects and adapts a continuous, adaptive, multi-level, and Agile product planning and scope definition process in collaboration for each market release with Product Strategy, Product Development, and other technology and business partners.
- Supporting Product portfolio/program governance, producing market release and program progress reporting, providing business relationship management, and leading end-to-end process definition and improvement activities.
- Implementing, improving, and administering the organization s Product Development strategy, planning and execution tools, including its implementation and support of Rally, its new Agile Application Lifecycle Management tool, and its existing tools, including Confluence Wiki and JIRA.
- Supporting the rollout and ongoing support required to implement, administer, and support the effective use of Rally, the new agile Application Life Cycle Management (ALM) tool.

OVERVIEW:

- Reporting to the Sr. Business Leader, Product Development Planning, Process & Tools, the Senior Agile Program Manager is responsible for a broad range of product roadmap and release planning, program management, process definition and improvement, reporting and metrics, and facilitation support.
- Collaborate with Product and technology partners in leading, facilitating, and supporting product and technology planning at multiple levels, including planning at the strategic, roadmap, release, and sprint/iteration levels. This includes planning and facilitating release planning events and ceremonies, developing and maintaining an end-to-end release schedule for the program in partnership with Release Management.
- Provide Agile program leadership, strategic planning, and project management support to programs and market releases comprised of multiple, interrelated, highly-complex projects in a very fast paced, dynamic environment with a heavily matrixed, cross-organizational delivery team.
- Define, implement, facilitate, and continuously improve cross-Scrum team and program level forums (eg, Scrum of Scrums), processes, and practices for planning, executing, tracking, and reporting to ensure release goals are achieved.
- Provide consultation, guidance, and support to teams in ensuring alignment and shared understanding of the Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) and supporting portfolio management and execution processes, and the roles Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers and Testers play on each team. Serve as process consultant and coach to Scrum teams in understanding our Agile framework and processes, and how to be more effective and ensure continuous improvement and learning.
- Guide team members and stakeholders with understanding the capabilities Rally, the Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool, provides in best meeting the portfolio management, execution, and reporting needs, as well as performing a wide variety of troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.
- Ensure the right information and metrics are collected from the program's product and technology leads, formatted and reported effectively, and provide transparency and visibility into the program's scope, progress and status. This requires ensuring that the right metrics are consistently captured and tracked in client tools and in supporting reports and scorecards.
- Develop and deliver a wide variety of stakeholder and executive presentations representing the business and technical teams. Create, maintain, and publish a variety of tools, templates, schedules/timelines, and training materials.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with counterparts in other business and technology organizations to ensure our program deliverables align with broader systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 8+ years progressively more responsible experience in directly relevant roles such as Program/Project Manager, Management Consultant, Product Developer/Manager, Business Analyst and/or Strategist
- 2+ years prior experience as an Agile Program Manager or Scrum Master in an Agile/Scrum development environment, including strong preference for 1+ years hands-on experience as a user of Rally and/or comparable tools (eg, VersionOne, JIRA/Greenhopper, or CA Clarity Agile)
- Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, SharePoint) required
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), and/or Certified Product Owner (CPO) certifications preferred
- BA/BS required (or equivalent experience) with concentration in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields preferred
- Strong program/project management skills, as demonstrated through experience leading and managing complex, large-scale, cross-organizational, multi-stakeholder projects with a successful track record of delivery
- Solid understanding of the Software/Product Development Lifecycle (SDLC/PDLC) and program and project management techniques, methodologies and best practices, with a strong preference for candidates with a minimum of 2 years experience in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Equally effective working with both engineering/technical team and product/business team members
- 3+ years of experience supporting development and management of products in the digital, online, E-commerce, payments technology and processing, and/or financial industry space
- Outstanding written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to create executive level reports, dashboards and presentations
- Highly skilled in the creation of PowerPoint presentations, presenting text, diagrams, and metrics in visually compelling ways
- Highest attention to detail with ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and distill it in crisp, clear language appropriate for executive audiences
- Demonstrated ability to consistently produce top-quality deliverables appropriate for an executive audience
- Strong verbal communication, presentation, collaboration and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to gain trust, secure buy-in and influence change at all levels
- Highly effective facilitation skills in both small and large-group settings
- Strong process orientation and demonstrated ability to define and document new or improved product/program planning, development, and project management processes and workflows
- Ability to diagram and document existing and proposed new business/technical processes using Visio and other tools
- A highly collaborative, energetic team player with demonstrated ability to be flexible, diplomatic, persistent, and energetic
- Comfortable with ambiguity, open to change, working in a fast-paced and fluid environment
- Working knowledge of Agile application life cycle management and development tools (Rally, Confluence Wiki, JIRA) highly preferred
- 3+ years of experience supporting development and management of products in the digital, online, E-commerce, payments technology and processing, and/or financial industry space preferred
