Senior Accountant (m/f/d)

MY DUTIES:

-As Senior Accountant your responsibilities include: posting transactions, performing month end tasks, performing analysis and reporting, supporting external and internal audits, and participating on ad-hoc projects
-Take care of monthly financial closing according to group accounting principles and local statutory GAAP
-Responsible for the annual preparation of the external financial statements (Balance sheet and Income statement) according to Swiss GAAP
-Ensure proper reconciliation of balance sheets
-Maintain internal control environment
-Liaise with other accounting teams as well as consolidation department
-Processing of Accounts Payable receiving, entering, and storing of invoices
-Preparing monthly Intercompany transaction journals
-Serve as a back-up for other team members
-Ensure compliance with internal controls in financial processes
-Cooperation with and contact for internal and external auditors

MY QUALIFICATIONS:

-Knowledge of US GAAP/ IFRS/ Swiss GAAP
-Degree with Accounting/ Financial scope such as Univserity Degree (BBA, MBA, Master) or "Eidg. Fachausweis im Finanz- und Rechnungswesen", HFW or similar
-Chartered Accountant/ CPA/ Country Equivalent – or working towards ceritifcation is a plus
-Fluency in English and German required
-Experienced user of Excel and Accounting ERPs
-Knowledge of Hyperion or similar reporting tools experience is a plus
-Pharma (bioscience) industry experience would be an advantage
