SR. ACCOUNTANT needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in MIAMI, FL

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required
- Must be fluent, written and verbal, in English and Spanish
- Minimum 5 years of high-volume General Accounting and month end close experience with an increasing level of responsibility over this time.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The candidate will be an integral part of the accounting team in ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial statements, as well as providing the supporting details of revenues & expenses.
- Sr. Accountant will frequently work with the regional Sales and Finance teams in Miami, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Colombia.
- Responsible for month-end close, including general ledger entries, revenue recognition, expense accrual, AR risk analysis and reconciliations
- Attend monthly A/R aging meetings and calculate bad debt reserve
- Closely partner with the Advertising Billing Analysts in Miami and the regional offices to track campaign activity from invoicing to revenue recognition
- Maintain detailed campaign reconciliations for Unbilled AR and Deferred Revenue
- Responsible for ensuring SOX internal controls for Ad Sales are performed and in place
- Proactively implement process improvements and participate heavily in new system implementations
- Perform ad hoc research and analysis as requested by management
- Ensure appropriate analyses are timely and accurate. Communicate results to Manager and Director and respond to inquiries
- Prepare work-papers and respond to inquiries from internal and external audits
- Prepare supporting schedules to assist Management in monthly/quarterly reporting
- Minimal travel may be required
- Perform other special projects as required

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required
- Must be fluent, written and verbal, in English and Spanish
- Minimum 5 years of high-volume General Accounting and month end close experience with an increasing level of responsibility over this time.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), specifically related to Revenue Recognition
- Experience with SAP or other large ERP accounting package preferred
- Previous experience with International Accounting strongly desired
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with proven ability to develop and maintain business relationship at all levels of the organization and with external vendors/clients
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing, fast paced environment.
- Detail oriented with strong organization skills
- Candidate should have the desire and ability to work as a team player with a sense of urgency and aspiration for accuracy
