Senior Accountant Job

SR. ACCOUNTANT needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in SILVER SPRING, MD

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Senior Accountant will be responsible for transactional accounting, assisting with the TMS implementation, FX analysis, consolidated cash flow support and other as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Prepare/review journal entries related to capital markets activity
- Prepare/review monthly cash journal entries
- Prepare monthly Derivatives Roll forward Report
- Review/prepare monthly reconciliations for all Treasury related accounts.
- Ensure complete documentation is maintained for newly executed hedge instruments
- Assist in the hedging documentation review process
- Assist in the preparation and review of the cash flow supporting schedules
- Work on implementation of new Treasury management system
- Review/prepare monthly FX analysis
- Work to improve analytics over Capital Markets activity
- Respond to internal/external inquiries in a timely manner
- Assist in the documentation and updating of SOX 404 requirements and accounting policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Knowledge and understanding of general accounting principles and concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required
- Strong internal and external customer service orientation.
- Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization including senior level management.
- Excellent PC and Mainframe accounting software skills.
- High level of personal motivation and a results oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
