Senior Access VBA Programmer/Analyst

Resource 1 has a need for an MS Access/VBA Developer with strong Excel skills for a contract in Des Plaines, IL. Individual should have at least 5 years of technical experience (Access, VBA, Excel), along with strong customer-interaction/communication skills. This will be on-site initially, with the potential of becoming a partial telecommute position. Individual will be primarily responsible for pulling data into MS Access from multiple data sources (ie Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) using SQL and creating reports for the BI - Business Intelligence team. The team uses the Access database for Business Analytics, from complex queries. Individual should have at least 5 years of experience with MS Access, including creating complex queries, joins, uploading data into tables, etc. Individual should also have expertise in creating Excel templates (including macros and formulas) and formatting reports. This will be for financial and sales-related reporting. There will be a lot of interaction with the business users to document requirements, so the selected individual must have strong verbal communications skills and preferably some financial experience.
